“Autumn” goes beyond the boundaries of traditional landscape art, offering a unique fusion of nature and material. At the center, we see a pastoral scene painted in warm tones of orange and brown: trees, grasslands, and the horizon fading in soft light. Yet this idyllic view is framed by a very different reality.

The cracked textures of black and green surrounding the scene evoke the erosion of time and the deep veins of nature. The surface feels like the dried, fractured crust of the earth. On top of this frame, real dried leaves are placed, adding a three-dimensional element. These leaves appear as echoes of the painted trees — as if they have fallen from the depicted landscape and landed on the canvas itself.

Here, the artist does more than portray an autumn landscape; they materialize the passage of time, the ephemerality of life, and the endless cycle of nature. “Autumn” thus becomes more than an image: it becomes a space where the viewer is invited to question the boundaries between the real and the represented.
